Lucknow Super Giants sign Rishabh Pant for record 27 crore in IPL 2025 auction

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) made headlines in the IPL 2025 auction by signing Rishabh Pant for a record Rs 27 crore. This bid surpassed the previous record held by Shreyas Iyer, who was bought for Rs 26.75 crore. LSG also released their former captain KL Rahul, who will enter the auction for the first time since 2018. The team retained Nicholas Pooran for Rs 21 crore, making him a strong candidate for captaincy next season. In addition to Pooran, LSG retained players Ravi Bishnoi and Mayank Yadav for Rs 11 crore each, while Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan were retained for Rs 4 crore each.
