Lumberton mayor charged with DWI and child endangerment
The mayor of Lumberton, Gina LaPlaca, has been charged with several offenses, including driving while intoxicated. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday night. Court records indicate that LaPlaca, 45, was issued seven traffic citations. These include driving with an expired license, careless and reckless driving, and driving with an open container or unsealed cannabis in her vehicle.
