Lutheran East aims for sixth championship title Saturday

Lutheran East is preparing for a big game against Columbus Academy in the OHSAA Division V boys basketball state championship. The game will take place Saturday morning at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The Falcons are aiming to win their sixth state title. Coach Sam Liggins originally thought they would face Columbus Academy in the semifinals. However, after their intense 64-59 win against Richmond Heights, the OHSAA changed the schedule. Now, Lutheran East will play Minford instead. In other high school sports news, Marcus Johnson from Garfield Heights has been named Ohio's Mr. Basketball. He made history by receiving this honor, following in his father's footsteps.
