MageTrain combines Snake gameplay with roguelike mechanics

MageTrain is a new mobile game that blends classic Snake gameplay with roguelike elements. Developed by Tidepool Games, it will be available for free on both Android and iOS starting next month. Players can now pre-order the game. In MageTrain, you guide a magical train of heroes through arenas filled with enemies. The game features nine unlockable heroes, each with unique skills. Players must strategically position their heroes to maximize their attacks while avoiding dangerous collisions. The game draws inspiration from Nimble Quest, introducing more characters and dungeons. Players can choose from eight dungeons and face 28 types of enemies. There are also 30 different skills to experiment with for building powerful teams. MageTrain uses a roguelike system similar to games like Slay the Spire. Each playthrough offers random challenges and opportunities to collect gold and upgrades. As players progress, they can refine their strategies, making each attempt feel like a fresh experience. Strategic movement is essential, as heroes attack automatically. Players need to navigate their growing train to avoid obstacles and optimize their battle formations. The game will be officially released on April 8th.
