Maharashtra Congress revokes Kunal Raut's leadership appointments

The Maharashtra Youth Congress is facing a major shake-up after the national leadership revoked appointments made by state president Kunal Raut. Raut announced the appointments at midnight on Thursday, but the national team annulled them less than 12 hours later. The initial announcement included a large number of positions, such as eight working presidents and dozens of other office bearers. Raut shared this news through a video message in a WhatsApp group. However, by Friday afternoon, party leaders from New Delhi moved quickly to cancel the appointments. They stated that Raut did not follow proper procedures or receive approval from the party's high command. This decision came as a disappointment to many newly appointed members who had begun celebrating their new roles. Many had even started preparing congratulatory messages and promotional material. The national leadership warned that disciplinary action would be taken against Raut for his actions. This incident adds to ongoing issues within the state Youth Congress. Recently, 60 leaders were expelled from the organization, which created unrest among party members. Many blame Raut for the unrest due to his lack of action. In response to the turmoil, Delhi appointed Shivraj More as the new working president of the Maharashtra Youth Congress. Some of the expelled leaders were included in Raut's original appointments, while others were left out.
