Maharashtra man dies after falling from train in Bekal

A 65-year-old man from Maharashtra died after falling from a moving train near Bekal early on Sunday. The man has been identified as Prakash Ganeshmal Jain, who was traveling in the B1 coach of the Mangala Express. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Jain fell from the train, possibly by accident. Other passengers saw him fall and quickly pulled the emergency chain to stop the train. After the train stopped, the Bekal police were called to help. They began a search operation and found Jain injured near the Bekal railway station. He was taken to the Kasaragod General Hospital, but doctors later declared him dead. Jain's body has been moved to the morgue for further arrangements.
