Main accused arrested in Delhi Kohat Enclave murders
Police in Delhi have arrested Deepak Kumar, the main suspect in the double murder of a couple. The couple, Mohinder Singh Talwar, 71, and Daljeet Kaur, 70, were found dead in their home in Kohat Enclave last Tuesday. Their bodies showed signs of decomposition, indicating they had been dead for some time. Kumar, 26, was arrested at an old-age home in Dwarka Mor on Saturday. He had been employed by the couple only two days before the crime. Police tracked him down after identifying an autorickshaw he used to flee the scene. This vehicle had changed hands multiple times, but investigators eventually located its latest owner, who provided a crucial lead. During the arrest, police found three IDs in Kumar's possession. One of the IDs had the name "Pankaj," which he allegedly used to deceive the elderly couple. Investigators believe he was hiding at the old-age home while maintaining contact with an accomplice. The police also uncovered that Kumar was working with a former attendant of the couple, Ravi Kishore, 27. Kishore is suspected of helping plan the crime. Although Kishore denied any involvement during questioning, police discovered recordings on his phone that suggested he was aware of the couple's finances and discussed splitting the stolen goods. Kumar faces charges of double murder and robbery. The investigation into the case is ongoing, as authorities continue to gather evidence and clarify the details surrounding the crime.
