Major drug syndicate leader arrested in Bengaluru

Kerala Police arrested Alan Philip, a suspected leader of a drug syndicate, in Bengaluru on Sunday. This arrest was part of Operation D-Hunt, an initiative aimed at reducing drug peddling in the area. The operation has already led to many arrests and the seizure of a wide variety of drugs. Alan, 25, is from Pathanamthitta but has been living in Bengaluru. He was detained in connection with a previous case where police seized 127 grams of MDMA in Chirayinkeezhu last December. At that time, two other suspects were also arrested. Authorities believe Alan plays a significant role in the distribution of synthetic drugs, especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He has a history of drug trafficking offenses in Tamil Nadu and is known to target students in educational institutions in Kerala.
