Major TV shows canceled for World Cup and Comic Relief
Many popular TV shows were taken off air tonight in what is called the biggest shakeup in television history. This change affects several channels as they prioritize special events like the World Cup Qualifiers and Comic Relief. On ITV, long-running soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale will not air this evening. They have been removed from the schedule to make way for coverage of the World Cup qualifier match between England and Albania, scheduled to begin at 7:45 PM. ITV will start its live coverage at 7 PM. Meanwhile, the BBC has also altered its schedule. The One Show and Death in Paradise have been canceled for the night. Instead, the BBC will broadcast Comic Relief, a charity event, from 7 PM onward. Popular presenters like Rylan Clark and Jonathan Ross will host the event, and regular programming will resume at 10 PM with the BBC News. Fans of Death in Paradise will have to wait until March 28 for the finale, which will now air at 9 PM. However, before this, a new series called Beyond Paradise will premiere at 8 PM that same night. Viewers are likely to feel disappointed by the changes, as their favorite shows are temporarily removed for these special broadcasts. Normal programming will return later in the evening on both ITV and the BBC.
