Malihabad woman found dead after hours at bus station
A woman, 32 years old, was found dead in Malihabad after spending about two hours at the local bus station. CCTV footage shows she was there from around 11:30 PM to 1:26 AM. This was after she got off the bus shortly after 11 PM, a time when buses are less frequent. The Alambagh bus terminal is one of the busiest in the city, usually handling around 450 to 500 buses daily. However, during the late night, the number drops significantly, with only four to six buses arriving each hour. The footage revealed that the woman appeared to be alone outside the terminal, and there were reports of suspicious individuals nearby. The bus terminal is equipped with 35 CCTV cameras that helped track her movements. According to NK Verma, the assistant regional manager, the police examined the footage and have collected relevant images and recordings. The last sighting of the woman was around 1:26 AM. To enhance security, the bus terminal has a police chowki and a pink security booth nearby. The Shalimar Group, which oversaw the terminal's renovation, also provides security personnel who are supposed to monitor the area at all times. Four security staff members are present in the station, along with a supervisor, to ensure safety and respond to any suspicious activity.
