Man arrested for disorderly conduct at storage facility
Police in Brook Park, Ohio, responded to several incidents recently involving alcohol-related offenses and missing property. On March 8, officers arrested a 53-year-old intoxicated man from Cleveland. He was behaving disorderly at Extra Space Storage on West 130th Street. A worker at the facility called police after the man refused to leave. Police recognized him from an earlier incident that day when he had also been disruptive on Brookpark Road. Earlier, on March 2, a woman reported that an urn of ashes had gone missing from The American Legion Post 610 on Sheldon Road. The urn was last seen during a celebration-of-life ceremony the day before. The woman suspects a family member may have taken it. In a separate incident on March 10, police arrested a 23-year-old man from Pennsylvania for giving a false name during a noise complaint at a home on Ashland Drive. The loud music and bonfire attracted attention. The man later admitted he lied to be "funny” because he was unsure if police were legitimate. Additionally, on March 9, a 60-year-old woman from Parma Heights was arrested for drunk driving after being stopped for not using her headlights. She initially denied drinking, stating she had only consumed soda, but later changed her story. She failed field sobriety tests. On March 12, police arrested a Parma man for operating a vehicle under the influence near Holy Cross Cemetery. Officers observed his SUV speeding with tinted windows and confirmed his license had been suspended due to previous OVI convictions. The man denied drinking but showed signs of intoxication and failed sobriety tests.
