Man arrested for murdering pregnant wife over dowry
A man was arrested for allegedly killing his pregnant wife over dowry issues in Lucknow. The suspect, Manish Yadav, has reportedly confessed to strangling his wife, Radha, who was six months pregnant. The tragic incident occurred in the BBD police station area. Manish, a musician, called Radha back to their home just two days before the event. On Wednesday morning, Radha’s family was informed by Manish’s brother about her condition. When they arrived, they found Radha unconscious, bleeding, and with injuries on her body. Radha's brother, Kundan, stated that her in-laws had been pressuring her family for ₹5 lakh in dowry, which they could not afford. He claimed that Radha had faced continuous harassment and abuse from her in-laws. Kundan mentioned that Manish had visited their home earlier in the week, apologized for his past behavior, and vowed to treat her better, but he allegedly had planned to kill her. Following Radha's death, a postmortem confirmed that she had been strangled. After Radha's father filed a complaint, police took action and registered a case against Manish. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to police officials.
