Man arrested for sexually assaulting minor girls in Kerala

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Thuruthy, Kerala, for allegedly sexually assaulting the two minor daughters of his live-in partner. The girls are aged 12 and 10. Police say the assaults occurred over approximately three years. Dhanesh, a taxi driver, began living with the girls' mother after their biological father passed away. Reports indicate he started molesting the elder girl when she was in the sixth grade and later abused the younger girl, who is currently in the fourth grade. The situation came to light when the elder girl wrote a letter describing her experiences. She intended to warn and protect a friend from potential harm. Another friend found this letter and shared it with her mother, who is a teacher. The matter was then promptly reported to the police. Authorities took swift action and arrested Dhanesh. He has been charged under the POCSO Act. Initial investigations do not show any involvement from the girls' mother, but police are looking into all aspects of the case.
