A man from Colorado Springs has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two minors. Edgardo Marquez-Urbina, 62, faces two felony charges for sexual assault on a child by a trusted person. The accusations came after two teenage girls reported the abuse to a school resource officer. The investigation began on March 12, when the girls revealed they had been inappropriately touched. The most recent incidents happened just before school on the day they spoke out. One victim stated that the assaults had been happening for several years. She expressed fear and a desire for the abuse to stop. Both victims mentioned that they had witnessed the other being abused. They also noted that another person had not tried to intervene. In an interview with the police, Marquez-Urbina denied the allegations. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on March 16 but later posted a $30,000 bond. A judge has issued two protection orders in the case. Marquez-Urbina's next court appearance is scheduled for March 25.
