A man has been arrested for stabbing a woman near Coimbatore. The incident occurred on March 17, 2025, at a bus stop in Anamalai. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old M. Murali from Dindigul district, attacked his friend’s wife. Murali had been in a relationship with her years ago but they broke up two years back. Recently, he tried to rekindle the relationship, but she refused. According to police, Murali stabbed the woman as she waited for a bus to Kerala, where she works at a lottery stall near the Tamil Nadu border. Police tracked Murali down to Neelambur on Tuesday. While he was trying to flee on his motorbike, he fell and injured his leg, sustaining a fracture. He was treated at a private hospital before being taken into custody. Murali is now facing legal action.
