Man arrested in Bootle for carrying suspected gun
A man in his 30s has been arrested after being spotted with what appeared to be a gun. The incident occurred on Marmion Avenue in Bootle. Merseyside Police received calls about the sighting around 5:15 PM on March 25. Armed police quickly arrived at the scene, and a helicopter was seen flying overhead. The man has been taken into custody on suspicion of having a firearm. He is currently being questioned by detectives. Authorities confirmed that there is no evidence of a gun being fired during the incident. Police are also searching a property connected to the arrest, but so far, no firearm has been found. Investigators are conducting house-to-house inquiries and reviewing local CCTV footage as part of their probe into the situation.
