Man arrested in Mohali for 11 grams of heroin

A man was arrested in Mohali for possessing 11 grams of heroin on Thursday. The police stopped Akashdeep Singh, who lives in Kumbra village but is originally from Ferozepur, at a check post. The operation was led by officer-in-charge Navdeep Singh. This arrest is part of a wider campaign against drugs organized by the senior superintendent of police, Deepak Pareek. Deputy superintendent of police HS Bal stated that police are working to find Singh's accomplices and the source of the drugs. They believe he may be connected to a larger drug supply network and expect more arrests as the investigation continues. A case has been filed against Singh under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Phase-8 police station.
