Man charged after Belfast protest clashes
A man has been charged after a protest in Belfast City Centre. The protest took place on Sunday, March 23. It featured large crowds at Belfast City Hall, where anti-immigration supporters rallied at the main entrance. On the opposite side, a counter-protest also took place. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) reported that a 44-year-old man was arrested during the protest. He has been charged with disorderly behaviour and attempted criminal damage. He is scheduled to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court on April 14. The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges, which is standard procedure.
