Man charged for leaving explicit note on teen's car
A man in Oakland County was arrested for leaving a sexual note on a teenager's car. Police were able to find him quickly because he included his phone number on the note. Officers responded to a call at a Target store on March 18. They discovered the note was sexually explicit and noted that the girl who received it is under 18 years old. After reading the note, police contacted the suspect by phone. The conversation they had was also sexual in nature. Police located the suspect, 38-year-old Thomas Mellick Hensler, in his car at the Target parking lot. While taking him into custody, officers found suspected methamphetamine. Hensler faces several charges, including child sexually abusive activity and possession of a controlled substance. His bond is set at $25,000. If he posts bond, he must wear a GPS tether and is banned from returning to the Target or having unsupervised contact with anyone under 18. Hensler is due back in court on March 27, 2025.
