Man charged for sexual assault during Alice Springs break-in

A man has been charged for allegedly breaking into a home in Alice Springs and assaulting two people. The incidents occurred early yesterday morning in the Kilgariff area. Around 6:20 a.m., police received reports of an unlawful entry. Upon arrival, they learned that the man had assaulted a person with a disability while inside the home. He then allegedly indecently assaulted a woman while she was asleep. The woman woke up, screamed, and the man quickly left the house. Police arrested a 24-year-old man shortly after near Len Kittle Drive. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault and burglary. The man has been remanded in custody and is set to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
