Man charged with stabbing woman near Bessemer City
A man is set to face charges for stabbing a woman in Bessemer City on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at a home on Mountain Meadows Drive, close to the Dallas-Cherryville Highway. Charles Caldwell, a neighbor, noticed the woman lying on the ground as he was leaving his driveway. He quickly ran to help her, drawing on his past experience as an EMT. Other neighbors soon joined in, bringing towels to apply pressure to the woman's wounds. As they assisted the injured woman, another neighbor, Charles Hill, became concerned about her partner. When police searched the home, they found a man inside who claimed he had also been stabbed. He then fell out of the police car. The exact circumstances leading to the stabbing are still unclear.
