Man held in jail pending trial for shooting death of Chicago police officer
A 23-year-old man, Darion McMillian, has been ordered to remain in jail while awaiting trial for the fatal shooting of Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and attempted murder of a police officer. The incident occurred when officers stopped a vehicle on the Southside of Chicago.
