Man kills two stray puppies in Ludhiana, police intervene

A man has been charged for allegedly killing two stray puppies in Ranian village. The police identified the suspect as Varinder Singh, from Ranjit Avenue. The incident was captured on video and shared with authorities. The complaint was made by Mani Singh, who is the president of an animal welfare group called ‘Help for Animals.’ He received the disturbing video via WhatsApp from someone who witnessed the event. The video shows Varinder attacking the puppies, including one puppy being crushed under his foot and another beaten with a stick. Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR). The FIR includes charges under section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with animal cruelty. It also includes accusations under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Assistant sub-inspector Ranjit Singh stated that they are working to locate Varinder Singh for further action.
