Man kills wife in Kozhikode, parents injured

A man killed his wife in Engapuzha, Kozhikode, on Tuesday night. The man, Yasir, is said to have been under the influence of drugs when he attacked his wife, Shibila, around 7 p.m. Her parents tried to stop him and were injured in the process. Shibila was taken to the Government Medical College Hospital, where she later died from her wounds. Her father, P. Abdurahman, was also seriously injured and remains in critical condition. Her mother, Haseena, is being treated at the Government Taluk Hospital in Thamarassery. The incident occurred during the time when many in the area were breaking their Ramzan fast. Yasir fled after the attack and is currently still at large.
