Man raped woman after meeting on matrimonial site

A 27-year-old woman was attacked by a 30-year-old man named Nehal Patil after they met on a matrimonial site. Patil promised to marry her but instead exploited her at various hotels. He spiked her drinks to carry out his acts. The woman and Patil had developed a friendship over the past year. They communicated frequently and met several times, including at hotels. Patil even visited her parents to express his intentions of marrying her. During one of their meetings at a hotel in Koradi, Patil filmed her in compromising situations after spiking her drink. He later refused to marry her and became aggressive during a disagreement. Feeling threatened, the woman went to the Koradi police to report Patil's actions. He has since been charged with rape.
