Man sentenced to 28 years for Atlantic City shooting

A man has been sentenced for a deadly shooting on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Jahlil Boston, 35, from Egg Harbor City, received a 28-year prison term for aggravated manslaughter. This sentence comes after a plea agreement. Boston must serve at least 85% of his sentence, which is about 24 years. After he is released, he will be on parole for five years. The shooting occurred on March 18, 2023, when police were called to the Boardwalk and found a 34-year-old man, Eric Wynn, who had been shot. Sadly, Wynn was declared dead at the scene. Surveillance video showed the shooting, and later that night, Boston was arrested nearby. He was found with the gun used in the incident. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office led the investigation with help from local police.
