Man seriously injured in bike theft attack in Liverpool
A man is in serious condition in the hospital after being pushed off his bike in Liverpool. The incident happened early in the morning on Fraser Street. Reports say that the man, in his 50s, was attacked by three men. He sustained serious injuries to his face and head during the assault, and his bike was stolen. Emergency services arrived shortly after the incident. While police treated the victim at the scene, other officers searched for the attackers. Soon after, two suspects were spotted in Islington. One of them was riding a bike that matched the victim's description. The police arrested a 34-year-old man from Toxteth and a 44-year-old man without a fixed address. Both are suspected of robbery, and the stolen bike was returned to its owner. Detective Inspector Chris Carlin spoke about the attack, describing how it left the victim shaken and needing serious medical care for his injuries. He confirmed that the police are committed to bringing the attackers to justice. Carlin noted that while robbery incidents decreased by nearly 20% last year, each event is still traumatic for the victim. The public is encouraged to help with information about the crime.
