Man shot in neck outside Prospect Park apartment building

A man was shot in the neck by a stranger late Tuesday near Prospect Park. The incident happened just before 11 p.m. outside an apartment building on Parkside Avenue. The victim, a 35-year-old man, did not appear to know his attacker. Police are investigating the motive behind the shooting. After being shot, the man was taken to Kings County Hospital Center and is now in stable condition. In a separate incident, another man was stabbed in the back around 10:15 p.m. This incident occurred about six blocks away on Rogers Avenue. The victim, 48 years old, was also taken to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both attackers are still on the loose, and police are looking into what led to these violent acts.
