Man strangles sister over property dispute in Ludhiana
A 25-year-old man named Prince has been accused of strangling his sister, Jyoti, to death during a property dispute in Ludhiana. The incident occurred on Friday night in the Preet Nagar area. Jyoti was 23 years old, studying for a BEd degree, and was working as a teacher. According to their mother, Asha Rani, Prince came to the house and started arguing about the family property. Rani stated that Prince had been threatening the family for several days, demanding his share. On the night of the incident, he became aggressive, and despite attempts from other family members to calm him down, he forcibly took Jyoti into another room. Rani described how Jyoti cried for help while Prince strangled her with her dupatta. Neighbors tried to help but could not get inside the room. When Prince finally left, he fled the scene. Jyoti was rushed to a hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. Police have registered a murder case against Prince and are currently searching for him. The body has been sent for a postmortem examination. The community is shocked by this tragic event.
