Manchester United legends attend charity gala in Manchester

Several stars from Manchester United's famous Class of '92, including Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt, attended a charity event on Thursday night. The Champions for Children Gala Dinner took place at the Victoria Warehouse near Old Trafford. The event aimed to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Foundation 92, a charity started by the Class of '92. Other former players like Wes Brown, Phil Bardsley, and Darron Gibson also joined the gathering, alongside various celebrities. The evening featured a video presentation highlighting the positive impact of the charities. Attendees participated in a raffle with several exciting prizes, including a guest appearance on Gary Neville's podcast. A nine-piece soul band also performed. Foundation 92, established in 2018, focuses on enhancing lives through sports and education, especially for vulnerable community members. Yvonne Harrison, chair of Trustees at Foundation 92, expressed gratitude for the turnout and emphasized the event's significance in supporting local youth. Funds raised will support two important projects at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, which serves over 285,000 children each year. Kathy Cowell OBE, chair of the hospital, thanked everyone for contributing to this worthy cause, highlighting their impact on young patients' lives.
