Manchester United plans player sales to fund transfers

Securing a spot in the Champions League would improve their finances and help attract better players. Several players are expected to leave United, including Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, and Jonny Evans when their contracts expire. While both Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo attracted interest in January, the club would prefer to keep their young talent. A significant sale could come from Marcus Rashford, who is on loan at Aston Villa with a £40 million buy option. His performance there has been promising, making a permanent move likely. Other players on the transfer list include Jadon Sancho and Antony. Sancho is on loan at Chelsea with a deal that could yield at least £20 million, possibly more if his performances improve. Antony is on loan at Real Betis, showing signs of regaining form. However, United needs to sell him for at least £32.5 million to avoid financial losses. Finally, Dan Gore, a young prospect, might also be sold, although his injury struggles may lower his market value. The combined sales of Rashford, Sancho, Antony, and Gore could bring in around £97.5 million for Manchester United, vital for their transfer strategy going forward.
