Manchester United pursues strikers Sesko and Gyokeres
Manchester United is in discussions to sign two strikers from Arsenal's shortlist for the upcoming summer transfer window. Manager Ruben Amorim is looking to boost the team's attack due to the underperformance of current strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Hojlund recently scored his first goal in 21 games during a match against Leicester City. Zirkzee has also struggled, managing only three goals in the same time. The future budget for new signings remains uncertain because of cost-cutting measures by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Reports indicate that United has identified a four-man shortlist of strikers. This list includes Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, who has previously attracted Arsenal's interest, and Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting. Both strikers are expected to cost over £60 million. It is also noted that both Sesko and Gyokeres are open to moving in the summer. The shortlist for Manchester United also includes Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt and Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Ekitike is seen as the more favorable option compared to Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray after trying but failing to leave Napoli permanently last summer.
