Man's suicide linked to cricket betting loss in Secunderabad

A 29-year-old man was found dead on railway tracks in Medchal on Tuesday morning. The man, identified as Somesh Kumar, lived in Gundlapochampally and worked in the private sector. Kumar's family reported that he had been very upset after losing ₹1 lakh in a cricket betting game the day before. They mentioned he had developed an addiction to online gaming, which led him to use betting apps and suffer financial losses. The local police have opened an investigation into the case. Kumar's body has been sent for a postmortem examination. Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding his death.
