South African allrounder Marco Jansen was sold to Punjab Kings for INR 7 crore on the second day of the IPL auction in Jeddah. This marked a significant transaction, making him the top earner of the day. Indian allrounders Krunal Pandya and Nitish Rana were also in demand. Royal Challengers Bengaluru acquired Pandya for INR 5.75 crore, while Rajasthan Royals secured Rana for INR 4.2 crore. Several notable players, including Faf du Plessis and Kane Williamson, went unsold during the auction. On the first day, records were set with Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant being sold for INR 26.75 crore and INR 27 crore, respectively.
