Marco Silva linked to Tottenham job amid Postecoglou pressure
Fulham manager Marco Silva is aware of the links to Tottenham Hotspur as pressure increases on their current boss, Ange Postecoglou. Silva’s strong performance at Fulham has attracted attention as Spurs struggle in 14th place in the Premier League. Tottenham’s future this season heavily depends on their success in the Europa League, especially with an upcoming quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt in April. This situation has led to speculation about who Spurs chairman Daniel Levy might consider as Postecoglou's replacement, with Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola emerging as top candidates. Silva has impressed many at Fulham, guiding the team to eighth place in the table. They are just four points behind Chelsea, who are currently in the fourth position, with nine games remaining. While attending a football coaches' event in Portugal, Silva commented on the interest from other clubs. He said it is normal when a team achieves good results and shows clear improvement. His remarks followed former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino’s recent expression of interest in returning to Tottenham after he was dismissed in 2019.
