President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Budget and Management to quickly release funds for relief efforts following Tropical Storm Kristine. This marks a shift towards more immediate financial support for affected areas.

Cabinet Secretaries have been assigned to oversee relief and rehabilitation in specific regions. The Department of Social Welfare and Development will distribute relief goods and financial aid, while the Department of Agriculture will implement plans to assist farmers.

The death toll from Kristine has risen to 26, with three people missing and nine injured. Over 314,000 individuals are currently in evacuation centers due to flooding, primarily in Camarines Sur.
