Mark Harmon reflects on his first acting role in a cereal commercial with father Tom Harmon
Mark Harmon recently discussed his first acting role in a Kellogg's cereal commercial alongside his father, NFL player Tom Harmon. He described the experience as "humiliating" during an appearance on a daytime talk show on November 13. Harmon, now 73, recalled filming the commercial when he was a teenager. He noted that while it was embarrassing, it also influenced his career direction. He humorously mentioned that his father received the paycheck for the ad. Since that debut, Harmon has had a successful acting career, most notably as special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs on "NCIS" for 19 seasons until 2021. He currently serves as a narrator and executive producer on a CBS show.
