Maruti Suzuki will discontinue Ciaz sedan in India
Maruti Suzuki will discontinue the Ciaz sedan in India, with production ending in March 2025. Despite record sales of 1,097 units in February, the decision is attributed to declining demand as SUVs gain popularity. The Ciaz, launched in 2014, was one of the first cars in India to feature a mild-hybrid system. Sales increased by 128% year-over-year, but overall market trends have led to its discontinuation. The Ciaz is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine and offers both manual and automatic transmission options. Prices range from Rs 9.41 lakh to Rs 11.11 lakh.
