A Maryland teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of an 18-year-old in Pennsylvania. Marques Harris, 19, shot Carlos Alberto Carrazana Ricardo during a meeting in Baltimore on November 26, 2023. Harris was trying to sell Carrazana Ricardo a car he had advertised on Facebook Marketplace. When Carrazana Ricardo declined to buy the vehicle, Harris shot him in the head as he and a friend were leaving. The shooting occurred while they were inside their car. Carrazana Ricardo was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died four days later. His friend, who was with him during the incident, was not hurt. On March 10, Harris was sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 10 years. He was convicted of first-degree murder and other charges after an eight-day trial that ended in early September.
