Massachusetts and Connecticut warning of possible flooding
Officials in Massachusetts and Connecticut are warning drivers about possible flooding on Tuesday. The National Weather Service advised people to avoid flooded roads, stating, "Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads." They noted that most flood-related deaths happen in vehicles. The areas at greater risk for flooding include the Connecticut River in Northampton and Thompsonville, Connecticut. In some parts of Massachusetts, like Pittsfield, there might be light snow showers early Tuesday. Despite the potential for flooding, the weather is expected to be mostly dry across Massachusetts. Temperatures are forecasted to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. However, rain is expected to start falling in Massachusetts on Thursday. Some high terrain areas in Western Massachusetts may also see snow, according to officials.
