Massachusetts doctor on trial for wife's murder
A trial is starting for Ingolf Tuerk, a doctor accused of murdering his wife, Kathleen McLean. She was 45 years old when she was last seen at their home in Dover, Massachusetts, on May 14, 2020. Days later, authorities found her body in a small pond near their house. Prosecutors say Tuerk confessed to putting her body in the pond and weighing it down with rocks. They believe this happened after a heated argument between the couple. At the time, Tuerk was out on bail due to previous domestic charges and was ordered to stay away from McLean. She had also filed for divorce from him. Tuerk is a urologist who gained attention for his work in robotic surgery. However, he had legal troubles before. In November 2019, he settled a case for $150,000 after being accused of false billing related to medical equipment.
