Massachusetts man seriously injured after being hit by truck

In Massachusetts, a man was hit by a box truck near a separate incident where another man was reported lying under a different truck. This happened in Braintree on Friday. Police received a call about the first man lying under a truck on Washington Street. This was around 1:20 p.m. Officers reported that as a delivery driver approached, the man got up and laid down under the truck. The driver had to get out and pull the man from underneath before he ran away. While investigating this situation, police received multiple 911 calls about another man who had been hit by a box truck at a nearby location. This was just a short walk from the first incident. Authorities have not confirmed if the man who was hit was the same person from the earlier incident. The box truck involved is owned by the Braintree Electric Light Department. The injured man received treatment from first responders and was taken to a local hospital. His injuries are serious, and the crash is currently under investigation.
