Massive fire breaks out in Navi Mumbai's MIDC

A large fire broke out in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation area of Shiravane, Navi Mumbai, on Friday. Firefighters raced to the scene as thick smoke filled the air. Fire officer SL Patil reported that twelve fire engines were working to control the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but the cause of the fire is still unknown. This fire is part of a troubling trend in the region. Similar incidents occurred in Mumbai's Andheri and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar just the day before. In Andheri, a fire started near the Mahakali Caves, prompting four fire engines to respond quickly. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, several furniture shops caught fire. Fire inspector Dilip stated that this fire might have been caused by a short circuit. Firefighters managed to contain the fire, and work to fully extinguish it is ongoing.
