Matlock returns on April 3, 2025, after March Madness

CBS's legal drama "Matlock," starring Kathy Bates as Madeline "Matty" Matlock, is currently popular on network television. The show is a modern take on a classic series that originally featured Andy Griffith. "Matlock" premiered on September 22, 2024, and has a total of 19 episodes planned for this season. However, viewers noticed that there was no new episode this week during its usual Thursday night slot. The show is on a break because of March Madness, the NCAA basketball tournament. This tournament began on March 20, 2025, and some games are being aired on CBS. As a result, fans tuning in for "Matlock" will instead see basketball games. The good news is that "Matlock" will return with new episodes. The 16th episode is set to air on April 3, 2025. Following that, the 17th episode will air a week later. Although March Madness will continue until April 7, it seems there won't be additional breaks for "Matlock" after it returns. The season finale is expected to air on April 17, 2025.
