Matt Baker pauses show to care for aging parents

Matt Baker, the former star of Countryfile, has announced that his Channel 4 show, Travels With Mum & Dad, will be rested. He made this decision so he can spend more time with his parents. In a recent interview, Matt shared that his father is turning 81 soon and has enjoyed filming the series. The show featured adventures in a caravan, where they visited various locations around the UK. Despite the show's end, Matt confirmed his television career is not over. He hinted at new projects coming later this year, including a series about the British Isles. Sources close to the show indicated that it became difficult for the family to film due to the demands of the production. They needed to adjust the types of activities and travel involved. While the series has been shelved for now, there's a possibility it could return in a different format. Currently, Matt is hosting another show called Our Dream Farm, where contestants compete for a National Trust farm tenancy in North Wales.
