The error occurred when the company intended to direct consumers to a URL for the upcoming film adaptation of the musical. The dolls, aimed at children ages 4 and up, featured the incorrect website instead of the film's official page. Mattel acknowledged the mistake as an "unfortunate error" but did not provide details on how it happened or what actions would be taken. As of now, it is unclear how many of the mislabeled boxes have been distributed. Mattel has not announced a recall or offered refunds to customers. The film is set to be released on November 22.
