Max develops erotic thriller series "Your Second Wife."

Max is developing a new series called "Your Second Wife," inspired by a short story by Laura Van Den Berg. This series will be a soapy, erotic thriller. Jamie Rosengard, known for her work on "Your Friends & Neighbors," is the creator and showrunner. The story centers on Liana Dunn, an aspiring actress who becomes a high school theater teacher. Living on Long Island, Liana struggles to cope with her sister's death. As she navigates her grief, she leads a double life that becomes dangerously addictive. Jessica Rothe, who starred in "Happy Death Day," found the original short story and proposed it for television. Michael Sugar, of Sugar23, and others are also involved in producing the series. Rosengard is currently working on another show for Apple, starring Jon Hamm, which premieres on April 11. Adele Lim, who co-wrote "Crazy Rich Asians," is also heavily involved in the project, working on multiple other series and a new "Princess Diaries" film. This new series brings together a talented team with strong backgrounds in television and film. Each member has a history of successful projects, promising a potentially exciting new show for viewers.
