Max George returns to work after heart surgery recovery
Max George, a member of the band The Wanted, is returning to work after recovering from heart surgery. He announced that he will join the UK and European tour of the musical "The War Of The Worlds." In February, George revealed he had undergone a second surgery after being fitted with a pacemaker due to a heart condition. This condition, called a "2:1 block," affects the heart's rhythm and can cause it to beat more slowly. Initially, his band was set to perform their first UK headline show, but they postponed it while he focused on recovery. Now, Max is excited to be back on stage, acting as Parson Nathaniel in the musical. He will be joined by his girlfriend, Maisie Smith, who will play his on-stage wife. George shared his relief in a statement, saying he is thrilled to perform after months of hard work and rehabilitation. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Smith, calling it unforgettable. Last December, Max spoke about his health struggles after being hospitalized for heart issues. He said he felt very unwell and knew he needed surgery. Reflecting on his experience, he recalled moments of fear where he thought he might not survive. While he is back to performing, doctors indicated that further investigations are needed regarding potential issues with his lungs.
