Mayor to outline Jackson's future in upcoming address
Jackson's mayor will deliver the 2025 State of the City Address on March 19 at the new City Center. Mayor Daniel Mahoney will highlight the community's achievements and outline future goals. This year’s address marks Mahoney's fourth since the event began in 2018. The City Center, formerly the Masonic Temple, is being transformed into a community center with a kitchen and training facilities. Construction on the City Center started in March 2024, funded by $3.1 million from the American Rescue Plan. The project is expected to be completed this spring.
