Medina County Parks offers nature activities this April
April is a great time to enjoy outdoor activities in Medina County Parks, Ohio. The Park District has planned various events for the community to explore nature. One event is the "Healthy Dose of Nature" hiking series, happening on April 5. Participants can join a naturalist for a vigorous hike along different trails. This event is free and does not require registration. Another opportunity is the "Birding Basics" workshop, also on April 5. This is for beginners or those looking to improve their bird-watching skills. Participants will learn indoors before going for a short hike. Registration is necessary for this event. Volunteers are needed for the "Woodland Health Day of Service" on April 5 and 6. Volunteers will help remove non-native plants at Buckeye Woods Park. No experience is required, and volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves. Various programs are planned throughout the month, including nature walks, wildlife talks, and creative writing classes for homeschoolers. Most events are free and welcome people of all ages. To participate in these activities or to learn more, residents can check the Medina County Parks website. Enjoy spring in the parks!
